This policy explains how Jinga handles personal information under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and, for users in the United States, applicable state privacy laws (such as California's CCPA/CPRA).

1. Who we are

2. What we collect — and what we don't

• Account: email, password (hashed by our authentication provider), language, country and account type.
• Professionals — profile: display name, headline, summary, years of experience, skills, categories, city/state, expected rate and availability.
• Professionals — contact (private): full name, email, phone, LinkedIn/portfolio links.
• Companies: legal and display name, EIN/CNPJ, city/state, website and posted jobs.
• Usage: applications, bids, invitations, pricing survey answers and first-party usage events — no third-party cookies.

We do not collect age, date of birth, photo, gender, race, religion, marital status, health information, SSN or ID numbers. Please don't include such data in free-text fields.

3. How we use it

• To provide the matching service (accounts, automatic suggestions, applications, invitations).
• To send job alerts and news — only with your consent, which you can withdraw anytime in “My account”.
• For security, fraud prevention and aggregated product metrics.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Suggestions only use category, location, availability, rate and experience. The platform never makes hiring decisions — companies do.

4. Who we share it with

• Companies see your professional profile (no contact details) when you are visible in suggestions or when you apply. Your contact details are only revealed to a company if you apply to its job and it unlocks your contact. You can see which companies did so in “My account”.
• Service providers for hosting, database/authentication and email delivery, under contracts that restrict their use of the data.
• Authorities when required by law.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Disclosure to companies happens at your direction, when you apply.

5. Cookies

Only essential cookies: login session and language preference. No advertising cookies or third-party trackers.

6. Retention

While your account is active. Deleting your account immediately erases your profile, contact details, applications, jobs and consents. Accounts inactive for 24 months may be deleted after an email notice.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, download (portability) and delete your data and withdraw consent directly in “My account”. For other requests, email SecretoNWJINGA4. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

8. Security

HTTPS, hashed passwords, row-level access rules in the database, contact details stored separately, security headers and timestamped consent records.

9. Age

The platform is intended for people 18 and older.

10. Changes

We will notify you by email and on the site before material changes. The current version is shown at the top of this page.
